In 2004 we drove (Yes, Drove!) our outfitted Toyota Sequoia from Oceanside, California to Tierra de Fuego, South America. After visiting 13 beautiful countries, we decided to one day make Pucon, Chile our home.
In August 2007, we said goodbye to Oceanside, California and moved our family to Pucon, Chile with the dream of owning and operating our own restaurant.
In January 2008, Latitude 39 Restaurant was opened by Robert, Monika and Dublin Leeds, in downtown Pucon, Chile. The idea of an International Menu was foreign to Chilean’s and took a season to catch on! The entire family shared in the work, from cooking and baking to serving and greeting. Latitude 39 established a reputation with locals and travelers who enjoyed the delicious homemade soups, hearty meals, homemade desserts and extraordinary tailored service.
Latitude 39 continues to provide their customers with new flavors and maintain the traditional favorites of homemade food, generous servings, daily specials and mouthwatering desserts.
